Questions

Is Salahora free?

Yes, every core feature of Salahora is permanently free. Prayer times, athan notifications, the 604-page mushaf, translations in five languages, the qibla compass, tasbih, dhikr, duas, the 99 Names, the Hijri calendar, the zakat calculator and the Islamic quiz sit behind no paywall. The optional Salahora Pro subscription only removes ads and gives unlimited quiz lives.

Do I need an account?

No, Salahora asks for no account or email address. You can use every feature the moment you install it. Your prayer records, bookmarks, streaks and quiz progress are stored only on your own device and are never uploaded to a server.

Does it work offline?

Yes, most of Salahora works without an internet connection. Prayer times are calculated on your device, the qibla is found from your location, and translations, duas, dhikr, the 99 Names, the Hijri calendar and the quiz are fully offline. The mushaf pages are downloaded once on first open (about 97 MB) and then read offline. Only audio recitation is streamed, so that part needs a connection.

How are prayer times calculated?

Prayer times are calculated on your device using the Diyanet method. You can use GPS or pick from 93 cities manually; when you choose a city, the app never calls GPS. Because the calculation is astronomical and runs locally, it needs no server and stays accurate offline. Fajr, sunrise, dhuhr, asr, maghrib and isha appear on a single screen.

Will adhan alerts arrive when the app is closed?

Yes, athan notifications arrive even when the app is closed. Notifications are scheduled on your device rather than sent from a server, so they fire on time without an internet connection. On Android a real athan sound plays, and a reminder also arrives 15 minutes before each prayer. You only need to grant notification and alarm permissions on first launch.

Which languages does the app support?

The Salahora interface is available in Turkish, English and Arabic, and it opens automatically in your phone's language. You can change the language at any time in settings. Quran translations are additionally offered in Russian, Indonesian and Urdu, and each verse names its translator.

What does Pro change?

Salahora Pro does only two things: it removes ads entirely and gives unlimited lives in the Islamic quiz. Prayer times, the mushaf, translations, qibla, tasbih, dhikr, duas and every other worship tool remain fully usable without it. Ads only ever appear on the home screen, the profile screen and the quiz — there are none at all on the mushaf, tasbih, dhikr or dua screens.
